Sorrento – Kitchen
A fresh take on a French Provincial kitchen with a matching buffet & hutch was on order for this delightful Federation style cottage on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. With the warmth of a bygone era this kitchen does not lack the modern conveniences of contemporary living and offers a timeless solution for the homeowners. One of the main considerations for the homeowners, in the redesign of their kitchen, was to incorporate an integrated refrigerator. The new integrated Liebherr french door fridge with double freezer drawers fits seamlessly into the space, hidden behind matching cabinetry panels. The room is topped off with stunning textured granite benchtops on the main kitchen area and beautiful natural timber on the buffet and hutch.

Fingal – Kitchen
This project was part of Channel Nine’s 2019 TV program ‘Love Shack’ where LTKI collaborated with homeowners and renovation specialists Deanne & Darren Jolly. The ‘Love Shack’ is situated in the beautiful coastal town of Fingal on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. Dea & Darren transformed a small and dated 3 bedroom ‘shack’ into a stunning family home with a significant extension and redesign of the whole property. Let’s Talk Kitchens & Interiors’ Managing Director Rex Hirst was engaged to design and build all of the cabinetry for the project including kitchen, scullery, mudroom, laundry, bathroom vanities, entertainment units, master walk-in-robe and wardrobes. We think the combination of Dea’s honed eye for colour and style and Rex’s skills in spatial planning and Interior Design have culminated in a truly spectacular family home.

Canterbury – Kitchen
Monochrome Glamour in Canterbury
This stylish kitchen and walk-in pantry sit within a beautiful Federation home built in 1912 in Melbourne’s leafy east. The homeowner’s had a great vision for this space and some structural work; removing walls and moving doorways, was required to modernised the home’s footprint to suit today’s modern living. This kitchen, while very contemporary, sits in harmony with the period features of the home such as the ornate cornices, archways and brickwork. We love the striking monochromatic colour scheme of black and white with the additional touches of glamour that elevate this space like the Qasair cylindrical rangehoods, Sub-Zero Wolf appliances and the beautiful marble benchtops.

Camberwell – Kitchen
Broadway Textured & Two Pack
Let’s Talk Kitchens & Interiors were honoured to take part in an extensive, whole home renovation of this lovely circa 1906 period property in Camberwell. The original features of the home have been retained and contemporary additions incorporated to create a wonderfully warm and comfortable home with all the modern conveniences required by a busy, young family. We designed and built cabinetry for all areas of the home including, kitchen, walk-in-pantry, laundry, mudroom, games room, living room, study, alfresco kitchen, bathrooms, ensuite, walk-in-wardrobes and gym. Working alongside the talented teams of architects at Herbert & Howes, builders of Shepherd Builders and landscape architects of Ian Barker Gardens we have created a home that will be loved and enjoyed by the homeowners and their children for many years to come.

Hawthorn – Kitchen
Hunter Grey Shaker
The big wish-list item from this homeowner was to have a walk-in-pantry incorporated into their new kitchen design. LTKI’s Rebecca Meyer redesigned the whole space to create a walk-in-pantry, requiring some new internal walls to be built. These new walls also house the sliding door cavity and recess for the new integrated fridge and freezer. The result is a functional scullery/walk-in-pantry with 2nd sink which can be hidden away behind the sliding door when not in use. The scullery features cabinetry in Polytec’s ‘Char Oak’ Ravine and benchtops in Caesarstone ‘Turbine Grey’ to match the kitchen. The main kitchen area on show is elegant and timeless featuring classic, shaker style doors in Dulux ‘Grey Cabin’ and benchtops in Caesarstone ‘Turbine Grey’. The black Lancanche stove is the centrepiece of the kitchen and is complimented nicely by the black Gessi lever tap and Franke sink.

Surrey Hills – Kitchen
Hamptons Luxury in Surrey Hills
Our client was undertaking a major renovation and extension of their large Edwardian home and wanted to create a Hamptons style kitchen, with a specific emphasis on catering for their large family and the need to be able to provide a large entertaining area for both family gatherings and as a senior executive of a major company the need to entertain guests at home. It was a real delight to have such an expansive space to work with to design this kitchen and walk-in-pantry and clients who trusted us implicitly to bring their vision to life. The design features a face-frame construction with shaker style doors made in solid English Oak and then finished in two-pack satin paint. The open grain of the oak timber, which lifts through the paint, adds a textural and visual element to the doors and panels. The kitchen is topped beautifully with natural ‘Super White’ granite, 4 slabs of which were required for the massive 5.7m long and 1.3m wide island bench to achieve the best grain match possible throughout the whole length of the island. The integrated Sub Zero fridge and 1500mm wide Wolf stove sit perfectly within the Hamptons style and offer a true chef’s experience in the home. A pot filler over the stove offers practicality and convenience and adds to the Hamptons style along with the beautiful fireclay sink and bridge tapware. A clever wet bar was incorporated into the far end of the kitchen leading out to the pool with a built in fridge drawer and a coffee station. The walk-in pantry, which extends almost the entire length behind the kitchen, adds a secondary preparation space and unparalleled storage for all of the kitchen gadgets, cookware and serving ware a keen home cook and avid entertainer requires.

Kew – Kitchen
Brougham Minimalist Contemporary
This black and white beauty will look timeless for many decades to come with it’s restrained, monochromatic colour scheme. A lesson in the subtle use of pattern and texture; with moody ‘Char Oak’ Ravine from Polytec used on the tall elements, the marble-look veining of the Caesarstone ‘Calacatta Nuvo’ on the benchtops and the 3-dimensional nature of the splashback tiles, which all give this kitchen interest and movement without overpowering the eye. Not only does this kitchen look sublime it is also a dream to cook in with ample bench-space, practical storage and the latest appliances including an induction cooktop and wall ovens incorporating a combi microwave.

Main Ridge – Kitchen
Valley View Double Island
This kitchen was created for two very keen home cooks who live on a beautiful acreage property in Main Ridge, on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula and frequently entertain friends and family. The original kitchen in this space was a cramped, u-shape layout and had limited preparation space for the homeowners. In this new kitchen design the layout was completely re-thought and two island benches were created. As part of this redesign, what used to be a walk-in-pantry was opened up to create an appliance nook and extra drawer storage. This kitchen now easily accommodates two cooks at the same time and the homeowners are able to face the dining area and interact with their guests while cooking. A feature bulkhead, clad in timber, was created to accommodate a powerful Qasair rangehood and pendant lighting over the new main island bench which is home to the flush-mounted Miele gas cooktop and is centre stage for the culinary entertainment.

Albert Park – Kitchen
Country Meets Contemporary on College
The brief from the homeowners for this kitchen renovation was that an existing antique buffet & hutch and also a painted, timber island trolley were to be retained and used as inspiration for the new kitchen cabinetry. The colours of the new cabinets were directly inspired by these antique items with the soft, olive hue drawn from the distressed, island trolley. The kitchen design however takes a more contemporary approach with engineered quartz benchtops and splashbacks, clean lines and modern appliances including a fully integrated dishwasher. The homeowners were thrilled with the improved functionality of their new kitchen as well as the ease at which it fits into their traditional style home.

Mont Albert North – Kitchen
Grace Bay Window Beauty
A clean contemporary renovation to this reproduction, Federation style home. Large bulkheads that reduced the ceiling height were removed, a servery window added and an island bar created to increase the feeling of a large, light and open space. South Yarra – Kitchen
Compact Contemporary on Rockley
This compact, contemporary kitchen maximises the available space for food preparation and storage while still maintaining a bright and open feel. Clever design is never more important than in a small space where every inch needs to be used wisely. The thoughtful use of contrast between the darker base cabinetry and bright white on the overheads and tall storage helps add depth and dimension to the room and a greater feeling of space. Dekton ‘Lunar’ benchtops and splashbacks add a subtle texture and are off-set beautifully by the Polytec ‘Char Oak’ base cabinets. The pearlescent, white two-pack paint on the remainder of the cabinetry adds a touch of elegance and class
