When answering the question “What are my thoughts on waterfall ends on benches?”, the best way to answer that question is to say that waterfall ends have died.
The main reason they have died is because they’re really very expensive for what you’re getting. We’ve now got a trend in kitchen renovations whereby instead of having a waterfall end, where the stone falls down to the ground, we’re now using a slab end of material.
This is combined with what’s called a shadow line around the cabinetry which looks very modern, very crisp and clean, and is a fraction of the cost of a waterfall end.
Anytime someone comes into the showroom it’s quite easy to show them this and explain it to them. Once they understand what the cost difference is between the two, it’s really a no-brainer which is why virtually no one buys waterfall ends anymore.
